Physcion induces apoptotic cell death of PC3 cells. PC3 cells were incubated in different concentrations of physcion (0, 25, and 50 μM) for 72 h. The cells were then fixed with 3% formaldehyde for 20 min at RT. Cells were stained with Hoechst 33258 for another 30 min. Finally, the nuclei of the cells were visualized under an inverted fluorescent microscope (× 40). Arrows indicate the nuclear morphological changes or fragmented chromatins in cells
