Phylogenetic neighbor-joining tree showing the genetic affiliations of mud loach actin isoforms with either teleost α-skeletal (ACTA1), α-cardiac (ACTC1), or α-smooth muscle (ACTA2) actins. Tree was drawn with amino acid sequences of selected muscle α-actin isoforms using MEGA7 software (ver. 7.0.26), including amniote γ-cytoplasmic actins as outgroups. Each node was tested by bootstrap method (1000 replicates), and only bootstrap values of 50% or above were shown here
